I am a full-time Realtor affiliated with J Rockcliff Realtors, the San Francisco East Bay’s premier real estate company. My primary office is in downtown Danville although I work mostly out of my home office and I have access to facilities in all of our offices throughout the San Ramon Valley and Lamorinda. I specialize in helping nice people to buy and sell homes in all price ranges.

The marketing and selling of real estate is no longer an activity that can be sensibly handled by a sole practitioner. The paperwork alone, which increases every year, would be overwhelming without assistance.

Sylvia Gibbons & Michelle HensleyI am particularly fortunate in that my wife, Sylvia, and my daughter, Michelle Hensley (pictured here), are also licensed Realtors.

Michelle and I list homes for sale independently and sometimes jointly (mostly in the case of Short Sales). We are always familiar with all aspects of each others listings though, and we are always available to cover for each other whenever the situation arises. Sylvia provides me with extensive support throughout the life of the listing. She manages the staging of the homes I list for sale and once a sale has been agreed, she liaises with the buyer’s agent to ensure that appraisal, inspections etc. are all carried out in a timely manner. She also frequently hosts Open Houses for me.

The fourth member of the team is our Transaction Manager, Denise Lema, whose role in the transaction is to ensure that once a sale has been agreed, all the documentation relating to the transaction is in place so that the escrow process goes smoothly and the sale closes on time. She is extremely conscientious and detail-oriented. A good transaction manager is vital to the successful completion of any real estate transaction.

Second Level Support

Over the years I have forged relationships with a wide range of people who are essential to the successful completion of any real estate transaction. They include lenders, escrow officers, termite and home inspectors, roof and chimney specialists and contractors of all kinds. I am always able to provide introductions to reliable professionals in any of these areas and more.

I am originally from England where I worked mostly in the computer service industry, initially as a software engineer and later in international recruitment and relocation specializing in marketing. My sales, marketing and relocation background have proved invaluable in my real estate career, as have my technology-related skills which are invaluable to me in my real estate business – I am also an e-PRO, the only Internet related designation recognized by the National Association of Realtors and held by a very small minority of Realtors.

I am committed to providing my buyers and sellers with the very highest level of personal service that is possible. I always put their best interests above everything else.
